To St. Paul

River

St. Paul is the hub for all things outdoor in SouthwestVirginia. Keep it in town and enjoy 100+ miles of ATV trails, 13 miles of biking, hiking, walking trails, fish the banks of the Clinch River or cast a line or two at Oxbow Lake. We have something for everyone.

Want more? Then may we suggest you start in Russell County at the Channels or head to the City of Norton and climb Flag Rock and High Knob or cross the mountain and see the breathtaking views at The Breaks Interstate Park. You can even zipline over the gorge while you are there, if you dare. St. Paul is the best place to start and end whatever adventure you seek. Whether local or new to the area or just passing through, you’re always welcome here.

Book a room at our award-winning boutique hotel, The Western Front, or make yourself at home in one of the St. Paul Suites and Cottages. Our Mountain View Lodge will certainly surprise you with upscale lodging and amenities, too. If you prefer to camp, then Maggie Way Campground is where you want to go. Maggie Way sits at the entrance of Spearhead Trails’ Mountain View ATV Trail System.

And don’t forget to dine here, too! Right in the heart of downtown, on 4th Avenue, you can dine at one of our locally owned restaurants. Giovannis Pizza has been part of St. Paul for over 40 years. The family who runs the restaurant today has done so since 1978. Fat Boys BBQ, another favorite, is home to the Heart Attack Baked Potato. Up the hill and around the corner you will find our very own award-winning hometown craft brewery, Sugar Hill Brewing Company.
