Saint Paul Loop Trail
Located near the heart of Saint Paul, the Saint Paul Loop offers six excellent sites for wildlife watching that visitors can enjoy. It includes everything from wetlands to montane to extensive woodland habitats. Intertwining with the Sugar Hill Loop, the Saint Paul Loop Trail varies immensely in elevation and provides a stunning view of the Clinch River Valley. The trail leads up to the Pinnacle Natural Area Preserve. At an elevation of 1,668 ft., the Preserve offers fascinating waterfalls and cavern formations that are home to several unique species, including the Hellbender Salamander.
